It’s Summertime and everyone wants to be outdoors. Especially when it isn’t too hot or humid. Some evenings it is even possible to catch a tropical breeze if we’re ever so lucky. What are your options? Of course, you can have a family barbecue! By now, you’ve probably hosted several and are proudly boasting your crown as Master of the grill, right. Today, some residents are urging you to take a much needed break from the hotdogs, hamburgers and steaks. With our next suggestion, you’ll be able to relax in your hammock this time. Your neighbors and friends are doing and here’s why. Picnics are a beautiful and creative way to bring families closer together. The things that you need are pretty inexpensive and convenient. Start with blankets and lots of them! If you don’t want to use your good ones, plan to visit your local thrift store for them. Grab an old-fashioned basket or even brown paper bags. A few easy sandwiches that your kids can prepare. More than likely you’ll be eating bologna or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. That will still go great with fruits, veggies and snacks. A pitcher of your favorite Summer drink with ice. Be creative and add a festive theme or brighten it up with lots of bright colors. Create a personal playlist and make sure you have a full battery. Maybe add some bubbles, sidewalk chalk or a beach ball and you’re set for about under twenty-dollars. Your family will treasure your picnic for years to come!
