Neighbors are glad it’s over. Many local residents have been out of power for sometime. Including my Lauraville community members who received power just yesterday evening. Hopefully, everyone’s service has been restored! It’s still that Saturday conversation that every neighbor is talking about this afternoon. Sadly, many basements were also flooded in and around town. We’re really hoping that our friends were able to get this resolved. Consider offering a helping hand or maybe donate a few buckets or mops. Many local commuters couldn’t believe how many down trees and wires were on the road as well. Many neighbors are out and about cleaning their yards today after the storm’s gusty winds. BBS would like to thank BGE for their continued commitment in serving our community! Thanks to our local supermarkets and retailers in the area that weren’t affected by our storm and had ample supplies of ice, batteries, flashlights and canned goods throughout the store to accommodate its surrounding communities. It was great to see neighbors helping neighbors in making sure that everyone was good. Today, please check on your family and love ones to see if they have electricity or are in need of anything. Keep an open eye for our elderly friends, too! They maybe in need of medication, food or a friendly, smiling face today.
