Delicious Summer Treats

Happy Sunday Neighbors!

We have another beautiful day in Baltimore City! The weather is fantastic. It’s the perfect day for a delicious summer treat. There’s nothing quite like an ice cold dessert on a Summer Day or any day. Of course, we can make our own freeze pops at home. I remember making  pouring fruit juice in ice trays! That seems like ages ago. Times have changed and luckily we can find delicious treats here in our neighborhood. There is nothing like taking a short drive to your family’s favorite local ice-cream parlor! My family’s all time favorite is Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard right here in Overlea. It is located on 7698 Belair Road.   We love getting in the car to make this a weekly family tradition. Rita’s Carnival Treats were the best! It reminds you of visiting our local, community attractions. The sweet cotton candy flavors were the best and is one of our personal favorites at Rita’s! Leaves are changing colors and the crisp air as we enter September is magnificent. As we approach Autumn, I am looking forward to Rita’s Pumpkin flavored milkshake. It is a perfect treat to get you into the beautiful fall days to come. It simply is the best ever. There are so many delicious flavors to choose from, neighbors! I love the creativity of introducing all the seasons at the right time. If you haven’t visited them, please do. Rita’s has convenient locations all around.
