Good Morning, Neighbors!
Rise and shine, without the sunshine. Our morning is starting off wet and windy! We’ll continue to have light rain into our afternoon. I remember as a kid growing up in North East Baltimore jumping in puddles on days like this! Neighbors, do you remember the clear umbrellas? The umbrellas where you could look up and see the rain falling over your head. Weren’t they the coolest? Those umbrellas were made of the strongest plastic! Neighbors, what did you like to do on those rainy days? For our parents getting ready to take their kids to school. How will you get them prepared? I remember those oversized ponchos that would rip as soon as you try to put it over your head! The rainbow colored ones were the worst. I remember the pass me down rubber boots. By the time it reached you, they were useless. I remember going to school with boots filled with water because they were too big for me. They were given to me with love of course! In the present, my daughter likes the big, umbrellas that turns inside out and it dries almost immediately. As for myself, a plastic bag over my purse and a small umbrella will do. We all know that it rains a lot in September. Neighbors, do you know of any local stores that sell quality ponchos or boots? If so, please post that store and it’s location in the comment section below. Do you have a funny memory from your days of going to school or just going outside. Please share and tell us about it!
