Happy Sunday, Neighbors!
It’s Halloween 2021 and how are you doing this morning? It seems like we’ve only been preparing for this day forever! Finding the perfect costumes for ourselves and our kiddies. Decorating our yards and front porches! Only to have the wind and rain blow it down. We have some really beautiful and colorful decorations here on Hamilton! I love the vibrant creativity here! I am so amazed by our neighbor’s Halloween display of The Corpse Bride in their front yard. Festive decorations are so spectacular in the Autumn season. The magnificent vibrant lights on our street is simply fabulous! We opted for the cute girly scarecrow this year for our display. How long will everyone leave their decorations up is the question of the day? The other is have you noticed all the leftover candy on our local supermarket shelves? Most of our local residents have opted out of trick or treating or passing out candy again this year! We normally turn off our porch lights to let the treaters know to go past our home. I remember one year when I accidentally left it on. We had little kids and their parents ringing our doorbell until 11pm! Have you noticed that our local trunk or treat events are really popular now, too? Even the candy choices have changed, thank goodness. Growing up, what candy did you absolutely hate to have dropped in your bag? Please let us know in the comment section below! The little wax candies and the little dot candy on the paper were the worst for me. Do you remember the dreadful candy cigarettes and candy necklaces? We also talked about costumes early in the week. Which ones did you decide to get for your loved ones? Tell us about that too! Feel free to share your Halloween plans with your neighbors if you like.
