Good morning, Baltimore!
The Thanksgiving Holiday is right around the corner. Can you believe it? It’s a time to celebrate dinner with our friends and loved ones. Our invitations are out and everyone is excited to gather around our dinner table. As we prepare our delicious menu it is important to remember how grateful we all are. For some of our local residents, this Thanksgiving Holiday can be very difficult and challenging. Some families are struggling to put food on their table as we speak. Who are these people in need? They are our neighbors, parents, caregivers and their children and grandkids. As a community, we can come together to help feed the less fortunate in our neighborhood. At this time, Baltimoreans remember leading advocate and city council member, Bea Gaddy. The honorable, late Ms. Gaddy owned and operated Bea Gaddy Family Center on 425 North Chester Street in Baltimore City. Her highly acclaimed homeless shelter is a nonprofit organization that has been feeding less fortunate and needy families for years. Her efforts and dedication has inspired many people to give from their heart. Neighbors, if you know of a local pantry or church offering free Thanksgiving baskets, please let your neighbors know about it in the comment section below. Local charities, please leave your contact information for a family in need this upcoming holiday. Together, we can make a difference in someone’s life starting today.
