Concert safety moving forward!

Image

Today is Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Before sunrise, we were all glued to our television and wake of the deadly concert. We have been watching it unfold right before our eyes. It’s one of the first things you’ll hear while drinking your  morning coffee. If you have been following the violent Astroworld Festival, you are among many of our devastated local residents. Many watched in horror as the concert goers gave us a glimpse as to what really happened in Houston. Knowing that a concert that large didn’t include a safety plan in case of a crowd surge is unsettling. Several people lost their lives and numerous others were injured. Neighbors, are you now concerned about the safety of our local venues? Will you purchase tickets for a show at The Royal Farm Arena again? It does give us all something to think about in the near future. We all hope that nothing like this will ever happen again moving forward. Not to mention that we are still in the pandemic and a crowd that large is very concerning! This particular concert’s catastrophe could have been prevented on so many levels. Neighbors, tell us what you think our city should do to protect our local residents in the comment section below. Your opinion always matters and is greatly appreciated.
