We are getting closer and closer to Thanksgiving 2021! It has been predicted that many of our local residents will be traveling to visit out of state family and loved ones. Many of our neighbors have opted to fly this year. Those local residents are concerned about high gas prices this season and aren’t ready to hit the road again. For our airplane travelers, be sure to find out if your airline of choice offers refunds or reschedules if needed. Check to find out if their is a vaccination or Covid testing policy before booking. A good rule of thumb is to book your flight for early in the day! Other Baltimore residents opted to drive this year because they didn’t want the hassles of flight delays or cancellations. The thought of being possibly stranded played a huge part in their decision. However, our Maryland drivers can still expect to see typical Thanksgiving traffic delays. You might want to have your family’s car ready to tackle the crowded busy streets, roads and highways. Make sure to have your car’s battery, tires, brakes and fluid levels checked! Also, have plenty of activities in place for your little ones. Portable chargers are also good to have at hand for your device lovers in the family. As you may have heard that most of our local school districts will be closed on Wednesday, November 24 this year. Some private schools in our area have decided to dismiss early on Tuesday, November 23 to allow staff, students and teachers the opportunity to get a head start for the traditional holiday. Please, find out if your kid’s local school district has made changes as well this year! Please be safe and vigilant however you decide to travel this Thanksgiving Holiday!
