Tis the season to be jolly and cheerful. Love thy neighbors and all of those good things. It seems that everyone is merry and bright, right. How about your dear neighbors next door or across the street? Are you one of the many neighbors that absolutely loves sending Christmas cards around your block? It is a beautiful and kind gesture and many residents participate in card giving every holiday. Is it for you? For many, it’s become a holiday tradition to celebrate with their next door neighbors. It really has a lot of advantages too. A surprise card can brightens someone’s day unexpectedly. It lets your neighbor know that they are being thought of during the Christmas holiday! In return it lets your neighbors know that your family and loved ones are friendly and considerate. The downside to be honest is what if you don’t know everyone’s name in their household. It happens when both parties are strictly on a greet and salute basis. You can always write a holiday greeting to you and your family on the front of the envelope. If you prefer not to sign your name that’s understandable. A house number will work. Many residents also opt to be anonymous. That way you’re covered. We’ve seen Christmas cards on cars, doors, mailboxes and even on doormats. I have even received random cards in the mail. Of course, many chose not to list their address and that’s fine because privacy is everything. Many residents has expressed interest in the costs of such a kind gesture. You can visit our local Dollar Store and get a box of twenty-four cards and envelopes. The cards come in an assortment of festive colors, designs and patterns. It looks creative on your mantel. A collection of holiday cards will sure standout among your family and friends this season. If you are at a loss for words, you will be fine we promise! Most of these beautiful cards already have a Happy Christmas saying written inside for you.
