It’s contest time again here at BBS! Our snowman contest was a blast. Hopefully, we’ll have another chance this evening. Today is not just a regular weekday. It’s aThursday like no other, guaranteed. Today, our neighbors can have fun and predict our forecast! How’s that for a boring Thursday? Our fun winter extravaganza continues this evening and you’re invited to participate! We’ve all heard the trending news all over town! Snow is coming to Baltimore City! The inches will vary depending on location. We’re all super excited, right? Why not have winter contest of it? BBS wants our community to predict how much snow we’re getting, if any. Comment anywhere from zero on up. There will bonus smiles generated for the creative responses. You can say just sleet, freezing rain or slush. Your guess is as good as ours. The winner with the correct answer will win a $25 gift card courtesy of Baltimore’s Best Stories. If we have a tie, the first neighbor to comment will win. Are there other unique things that you consider to predict snow? We’ve heard about one myth that involves seeds. Persimmon Fruit to be exact. Legend has it that the seeds of these fruit were ideal for predicting snow. It was said that if you cut the seed, you’ll find a kernel inside. If the kernel is shaped like a spoon it meant that lots of heavy, wet snow would fall. The spoon is actually supposed to represent a shovel! That’s amazing but we are more interested in your myths of predicting snow!
