Baltimore City, MD-BCPS teachers, faculty, parents and students really have something to celebrate this morning! Today, Tuesday January 18, 2022 is starting off sunny and bright. There will be many smiling faces at school. It’s day 2 of commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King in the city of Baltimore thanks to Our Mayor, Brandon Scott! The delivery that everyone around town has been waiting for. Mayor Scott and volunteers from his administration held an event to benefit our local communities in honor of MLK Day! 50,000 additional COVID tests and 40,000 masks have been distributed throughout our local public schools. Many local residents are pleased with our Mayor’s continuing efforts to keep our children, staff and every citizen of Baltimore safe. During the midst of a pandemic, our community concerns have been addressed and answered. It’s a relief to many residents whose kids are attending in-person instruction. It’s an added resource that relieves concerns and impacts the lives of residents all around town. The letters, phone calls and meetings have been heard. Many parents feel that these extra safety measures is definitely the way to go! Local residents can feel at ease and regain faith in our school system. Many believe that these are all perfect examples of safety protocols that will make a difference for our little ones, big and small. Every effort is greatly appreciated in our local neighborhoods.
