Can you please tell our audience more about you?
I’m a self-published author from Sri Lanka, and also a mother of one. My pet genres are fantasy, horror, thriller, mystery and sci-fi! I occasionally write children’s stories and I also maintain a short story Blog on Blogspot called The Omniscrolls. I published my first book, which is a psychological thriller, last year. I just published my second book as well; it’s a sci-fi/adventure story. I’ve also written several stories and articles on Medium and have more works in progress on the way.
Can you tell us about your exciting book?
My debut book, The Shadow of Death, is a psychological thriller/mystery crime fiction story focused on a serial killer. The following is the synopsis: when a series of murders rock a small town right after a similar case is closed, two detectives set out to track down an elusive serial killer leaving behind a trail of bodies in the woods. The killers share methodologies, but whether or not they are connected is yet to be revealed!
What inspired you to become a writer, Sharon?
A combination of my love for reading and my writing of different stories at a young age.
Can you give a life quote for new, aspiring writers please?
Never be daunted by people’s words and opinions; but also be humble, and accept constructive criticism to better your work and yourself.
