Groundhog Day!

Baltimore City- Many local residents have been looking forward to today, February 2, 2022 all season! It’s not like any other Tuesday in our community. Some Neighbors believe and rely on our legendary groundhog. Other’s are not so impressed. Neighbors, what’s your take on the world famous groundhog’s weatherman skills? Is he qualified or is it just a myth? Let BBS in our comment section below. Today, we need to do our own investigation into this matter! This is the one day of the year, when the little furry guy is said to come out of a hole in the ground at the end of hibernation. If he were to see his shadow, our community will be expecting six more weeks of winter weather! This annual celebration dates all the way back to 1886! The groundhog’s fascinating journey began in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and has been a tradition in the United States and Canada every since. Now, what will happen if he doesn’t his shadow you ask? It means we can expect Spring weather to come earlier than expected! One thing BBS did learn is that these little guys have plenty of energy during the day because they sleep at night! During the day, they are fiesty and have been known to destroy our prized gardens! It’s been said they aren’t too friendly with our pets! Do you have the scoop on this guy?
