Baltimore City Students - Local parents, grandparents and caregivers, have you heard the latest? Yes, there was an exciting and very trending topic happening at school today! BBS wants you to be included in this evening’s circle. Yes, parents it’s all about ratios! Your students were super hyped up for this one of a kind day. After school, you may have heard them mention Physicist Larry Shaw. Be sure to shock them at the dinner table by letting them know your hip to it, too. Hint, he’s the genesis behind this awesome holiday! Be sure to mention that Pi describes the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter to appear super cool! March 14 is National Holiday to celebrate and honor Pi all over our town and around the world. We’re not talking about grandma Millie’s sweet potato or apple pie. Your little ones were excited about a whole new subject in school today, Math! Mathematicians and math lovers are loving this day. It’s the one class today that had all the super, fun activities. So, how is Pi even a number? Pi ratio in numbers would be 3.14! It couldn’t be a better day to celebrate because it is also today’s date! BBS has two questions for our community members! Go on and give it a try. Guesses are appreciated and lots of fun. If you are one of the brilliant neighbors who knows, please let everyone know in our cool comment section belowAre there any residents out there that knows what a transcendental number is? Do you think NASA Engineers need to use Pi, why or why not?
