Today is Holi!

Baltimore City- Today is Hindu’s holiday, Holi! An Ancient Hindu Festival. Many local residents are celebrating this beautiful, Friday along with others around world. It’s a joyous occasion that includes music, fun and laughter with local community members! In India, Holi is the joyous celebration of love, color and of course Spring! Winter has come to an end. Many will dance in the streets in clouds of bright, colorful powder! It’s a magnificent festival of singing, dancing and rich, delicious foods. Cascading colorful and fragrant flowers. Many residents love the exotic Dhak flowers during Holi! It’s a splendid evening indeed for such a celebration. Beautiful vibrant balloons and festive decorations. Creative Rangoli and colorful, flickering lights under the stars. Bhang Thandai is a super, popular drink and it’s trending all over the world as we speak! We have fantastic Holi events and celebrations in and around town today for our local residents, too!  Many of our neighbors started with a festive pre-celebration on yesterday with bonfires. These special gatherings are called Holika Dahan or Choti Holi! It’s a spectacular party with such vivid color! Are you participating in this year’s Holi festivities.
