Happy First Day of Spring!

Baltimore City- Today is Sunday, March 20th! The first day of Spring. The cold days and winter nights are over. Local residents are excited about sunny, beautiful, Spring days. Easter will be on April 17th this year and here’s why. The answer is in the skies. Really, it’s all about our Full Moon. Easter always follows our Spring Equinox. The first Sunday after after a Full Moon. Check your calendars. The earliest Easter date would be on March 22nd and the latest Easter date was on April 25,1943! Our local residents can’t wait for bright sunshine, colorful flowers and bees to swirl around. Soon it will be time to plan for your family’s Spring Break. BBS has a few super, family-friendly activities to get you started. Spring Break for our public school Baltimore City students start on April 11-17th. Our local private schools may have a different date. Please visit your child’s school for updates and changes to those dates. We are so excited to share our free, activities to keep your little ones busy on their holiday break. We brought back the classic, good old-fashioned activities with a trendy twist. If you aren’t traveling, you are in for a special treat. Everyone will be happy for family time this year. Today, is the perfect day for to buy fresh, fragrant flowers for your family’s breakfast table. Nothing screams Spring like beautiful Daffodils, Star Magnolias or Tulips. Primrose flowers can also brighten your table in vivid colors yellow, pink or purple. These cherished  activities are events to treasure for a lifetime especially when you take a pic! Kite flying is a popular activity among our locals on Spring Break. A family bicycling day is a great activity in nice weather. Gather your loved ones for free, outdoor movies this season. It’s an awesome event for your whole family to enjoy. Spring is a good time to add a splash of bright colors to your fantastic wardrobe. You can also donate your unwanted clothes to a local charity such as the local Goodwill or thrift shop. It’s also a wonderful time to bring out the brown wicker baskets for a family picnic. Let each member of your household choose their favorite lunch item! Get your comfy blankets in head to your local park. Also, weekends in and around Baltimore City are pretty spectacular. A visit to our local Farmer’s market will do wonders for your loved ones. Include your little ones by letting them choose their favorite fresh fruits and veggies. Finally, our favorite family activity is visiting our local art shows and exhibits during the Spring and Summer Seasons! Decorate your home with a painting of  the beautiful colors of Spring.
