U.S News Ranks the Best High Schools in America

Baltimore City- If you’re a parent of an eighth grader, this is the article for you! Recently, U.S News ranked the top high schools in 2022 and here’s where we stand locally. The core categories considered was state assessment proficiency and performance. These schools were also judged on its college readiness and curriculum. The school’s underserved student performance and of course its graduation rate. For a more comprehensive and detailed list, please visit their site. Each school is broken down into specific categories. They include the best, local stem, magnet and charter schools. There is also a listing for the top private schools in our local district. Our top ten list is standard and we specifically outlined our local district. Let’s roll out the red carpet and see if you’re child’s school is on the list. The top two rankings belong to two schools in Baltimore County. BBS congratulates Eastern Technical High School students for earning first place! Second place was awarded to our Western School of Technology. We think every school on and off the list did an awesome job this year in and around town! We are so proud of our Baltimore City District High Schools ranking in eighth, ninth and tenth place. Eighth place goes to our hometown favorite, Baltimore City College. Coming in ninth was Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. Tenth place was awarded to Baltimore School for the Arts. Again, super congrats to the students, teachers, parents and faculty for doing an outstanding job this year! You’re dedication and hard work paid off big in 2022 and we’re so proud of you! Every school is a winner in their own right.
