What’s happening around town this weekend? Cookouts and celebrations all around our area. BBS had their annual kick-off to Summer right here on the outskirts of our beautiful city. We visited Rock State Park with our loved ones and neighbors. Many local residents were there celebrating in festive red, white and blue. A wonderful day for our dear community members near and far. Perfect sunny weather for a family BBQ or picnic. Under bright, blue skies and seasonal temperatures. If you haven’t already, please add this park on your bucket list for things to do and see. We do this quite often and we highly recommend this park to our family and friends. This beautiful park is nestled into the heart of Harford County, Maryland. A gorgeous 67-acre area to delight and explore. It’s close by to Annie’s Playground. Another beautiful park for your kids and love ones. RSP is home to the finest trails, climbing and picnic areas. Tree lined and shaded throughout. Many locals travel from afar to visit the magnificent Kilgore Falls in their Falling Branch Area. This is the second tallest waterfall in Maryland. Once you visit, you’ll want to come back again and again. Home to the best rock climbing. It’s a part of royal history that dates back to a real King and Queen seat. The legend still enchants our residents today. It was once believed to be a ceremonial place for the Susquehannock Indians! The King and Queen seat sits at an amazing 190 feet above Deer Creek. The beautiful trails will create lasting memories to be cherished for a lifetime. Add that with fantastic picnic tables and pavilions. Pavilions are available through reservation and permit. Many residents come to have celebrations such as weddings, parties and reunions. It’s really spectacular and includes a barbecue pit, tables and can accommodate 150 people. Another popular site is their Grove pavilions. This area has lights and a fireplace. On top of a water area with grills for barbecuing nearby. What more could you ask for in a beautiful, state park? Hours of opening are from 8 am to sunset. Be prepared to pay a small service fee per person in your vehicle. Please, visit their website below to plan your next family outing today!
